Good Friends

Last weekend I hung out with my best friends, all 4 of them..and all 7 of their children! It was great to get together with everyone, it doesn't happen too often and definately not enough, but everytime we do, we pick up just where we left off!!! Thanks Erin for all the food and hospitality and the patience of all the kids running around. I definately feel old as I don't have the patience I used to have! I feel relaxed that my kids are growing up and don't need the supervision the little ones do but I know my time is coming. As they get older I'll be having different challenges to face before my friends have to worry about those teenager things!!!

One thing I learned from my 10 year old.

After over a week of forgetting to buy fish food for our only living fish, my 10 year old son enlightened me to improvisational fish food. When I saw he was feeding our fish Rice Krispies, I thought for sure he was going to kill our wet friend, but he explained to me, while showing me the empty container, that fish food is actually made up of dried rice! So if you ever run out of fish food now you will know what to do, Thanks James!!!

I am a Fantasy Queen!!!!!!! or just lucky...

METAL THUNDER....I won this 16x30 Litho with a piece of Jr's car on it on my first try at fantasy Nascar!! I was really surprised as I am that i'm in first place in the Fan Frenzy College Hoops Challenge!
It came UPS the other day but who knows where i'm putting it, I guess in our entertainment room when it gets built! (there are no plans currently in motion, only in mind..) Maybe in little James' room until then.
Goin to Reading, PA tomorrow with Lisa, Beth , Liz and the kids, to see Erin's new house and her family of course. I'm very excited to be hanging out with the whole crew even if it is just for a couple of hours!!!

Deal or No Deal

I really enjoyed watching this show with Beth last night, (over the phone)!! I miss those long talks about reunion stuff and long walks we used to take and the other stuff that didn't happen. I found this really cool link to play the game online...so far I took the deal 2x and missed out on 300,000 and 400,000 $$$. I don't think I'd be any good on the show plus I wouldn't want to act all stupid on TV. now the amazing race is another story..

Flower Show

Went to the flower show with my Mom. I thought the display was more arranged than natural growing flowers as it had been in the past when I've gone...but it was still a nice "can't wait for spring treat!" Here's a collage of some of my favorites...I strugggled a bit with the flash settings, I didn't want to get everything with a bright flash on it cause it wasn't meant to be that way. I bought some new herbs for my garden: mother of thyme, tarragon, lavender, and garlic chives, and a Venus Fly Trap for the kids, although we don't have any flys to feed it yet!
